Carl E. Hansen “Ed”, 78, died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital.

Born in Troy, Carl was the son of the late Carl Hansen and Mary Lord, and loving husband of 36 years to Marcia B. Miller Hansen.

Carl served in the United States Army for 3 years and spent 10 years in the Army Reserves. He was a Mechanic for many years, and also worked as a paint maker. Carl loved working with wood, tinkering with cars, and enjoyed fishing in his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Marcia, Carl is survived by his children Judy Strack (Tom) of Ballston Spa, Daniel Hansen (Lisa) of Watervliet, Robert Angus of Johnsonville, and Eyvon Pace of Cohoes. Carl is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sisters, Lillian Dickerson (Allen) and Betty Hansen, and several nieces and nephews.

Carl is pre-deceased by his sisters Shirley Burseck and Ruth Labelle.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday May 1, 2017 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 2, at 10:00am at the Funeral Home.
