Richard J. Gras Sr, 68, passed away on Saturday August 12, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born in Troy, he was the son of Theodore Gras and Marcella Kilcullen Gras, he was the loving husband to Karen Lehane Gras.

Richard was raised and educated in Watervilet, he graduated from Watervliet High School and worked for the United Postal Service for over 40 years as a supervisor, retiring in 2006.

Richard enjoyed cooking and most of all, he loved his family.

In addition to his wife Karen, he is survived by his children Dawn Gress (Thomas) of Petersburg, Thomas Gras of Pleasantdale, Richard J. Gras Jr (Michelle DePaolo) of Fernandina Beach, Fl., his cherished grandchildren Kylie, Zoe and Jeremy Gress, his brother Arthur Gras of the Philippines,  several nieces and nephews and his faithful K-9 companions “Beau” and “Lucy”. Richard was predeceased by his brother Theodore Gras and sister Margaret Bayly.

Relatives and Friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
