Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Anthony J. Drobny and Helen Robinson Drobny.
Raised and educated in Troy, he was a graduate of Catholic Central High School.
Tony was a United States Army veteran serving during Vietnam. He worked for the New York State Department of Transportation, Materials Bureau for over 30 years.
Tony's contagious smile was never more evident than when he was chatting with friends about a golf game, sports cars or his love of the Yankees and Giants. He treasured his children and they were a source of deep joy to him.
Tony is survived by his beloved son Michael Drobny of Saratoga Springs, his daughter Dayna Drobny (her husband Thomas Nipps) of East Longmeadow, MA, his sister Arlene Craver (John), his niece Donna Craver (Alicia), his nephew John Craver and great nephew Ethan Craver.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
