Joseph Doty

Waterford-Joseph A. Doty, 75 passed away on Monday December 3, 2018 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Harold Doty and Mary Keefe Doty and the loving husband to Heidi Powley Doty.

Joseph graduated from Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes, he served proudly in The United States Navy from 1963 to 1967. He worked at Sterling Drug Company in Rennselaer for over 20 years retiring as a chemical operator, he later worked for Freihofer’s in Albany as a baker.

In addition to his wife Heidi, he is survived by his children Joseph Doty (Megan) of Niskayuna and Heather Uline of Vermont, his three granddaughters, his siblings Marion Abbott (Late Charles), Eileen Jensen (late Neil,) Dorothy Taylor (William), Shirley Doty, William Doty (Dawn) and Lillian Taylor, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his brother Reverend Harold Doty.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday December 7, 2018 at  McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Funeral service 10:00 am on Saturday December 8, 2018 at funeral home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Please visit www.mcloughlinmason.com.
