Linda Gordon

Linda Badolato Gordon, 56 was born on November 27, 1959 and went to be with her lord on December 5, 2015 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Badolato and Marylou Quinn Badolato.

Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Gary Gordon and their children Nicole Orgler (Paul) and Michael Gordon all of Troy.

Linda will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren Brittney Halse and Mackenzie Orgler. Linda will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her siblings, Susan Trudell (Roger), Pamela Doyle (Brian) Lisa Allen (Mark) and James Badolato all of Troy. Linda is also cherished by several brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and the family dog Magnum.

Linda was a 1976 graduate of Troy High School. After high school, Linda began a career with The New York State Insurance Fund and after 20 years of service Linda left to focus on raising her family. Linda cherished being a mom and Mimi to her two children and her two grandchildren and through the years has been able to mold four lives into beautiful, loving and caring individuals. She never looked for credit or praise. She always remained in the shadows of their accomplishments but was always the reason for their successes in life. She will rest comfortably knowing she has prepared her children well for all of the trials of life.Linda cherished her time with family especially at the ocean where she felt most at home. She also loved being at home with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to join our family in a celebration of Linda's life on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 North Lake Avenue, Troy, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.

1st Memory Gary I can remember the first time I meet Linda! We were on a TPD boat ride on the Mohawck River. I can still remember to this day her striking beauty. I even teased you about her being a model. She maintained her beauty and sense of humor every time I saw her and spoke to her through the years. Having gone through this my self when Denise died I know there are no real words that can really comfort you and yours during these times. I feel the people who said "Time Heals All Woounds" had never suffered a loss as great as this. I still reflect in pain at my loss which was over 10 years ago now. But rest assured that time does reduce the pain so that you can get back into happier times with the help of your family and friends. My heart goes out to you, Nicole and Michael. God Bless.
