Mark Wager

Brunswick- Mark R. Wager, 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep early in the morning, Monday August 24, 2020, at his home after spending the week with his children. Mark was born in Cohoes and raised in Troy. He was the son of the late Addie Donlon & James Wager. He worked several jobs throughout his life before working as a mason with Western Building Restoration from 1998 to 2014 when he retired. He spent multiple years as the president of the board for the All Troy Athletic Club and then more recently became an active member of the Eagles Club of Troy.

In his last years of life Mark spent most of his time with Mary Shemels of Troy who laughed with him, took care of him (they took care of each other), and visited him every day when he was home. He also traveled to Maine often to visit his close friends and former brother- & sister-in-laws Jack and Kelly Clancy. Mark is survived by his daughter, Meghan Wager of Troy; his sons, Thane Wager of Bedford MA, Liam Wager of New York City, Dylan Wager of Pittsboro NC; and his sister Joann Wager Tillberg of Virginia. He is also survived by his ex-wife Debra Wager. Mark was predeceased by his parents, Addie Donlon and James Wager; his brothers James Wager and Richard Wager; and his son Zane Wager.

Services will be scheduled for a future date when it’s possible to gather and celebrate Mark’s life.

Guestbook

Mark had three sibling who predeceased him; Robert Thomas, James William and Richard Michael. I, the eldest and only girl am his last remaining sib. It's a sobering realization, for I surely believed he's outlive me by many years. But I will never forget his unique laugh, sense of humor so like our fathers' and generous heart. Rest in peace, brother.Jody
