Mildred Follett

Mildred M. (Colley) Follet, 92 passed this earth and went to the Lord in Heaven on Sunday May 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Colley and Edith Crisp Colley, and the loving wife to the late Byron W. Follett of Lansingburgh. They were married 51 years and 11 months.

Mildred went to Lansingburgh High School, and worked for Pioneer Savings and Loan Bank before her marriage to Byron and later she worked at Cohoes Savings Bank.

She was an active member of the former First Presbyterian Church of Lansingburgh, now Cornerstone Community Church, she was an elder and deacon. She enjoyed gardening

Mildred is survived by her children, Deborah K. Cutts of Braintree MA., Kathryn J. Schongar (George) of Speigletown and Jeffrey P. Follett of Savanna GA, her grandchildren, Christopher Cutts, Jacob Cutts, Heather Hinkle (Keith), Elizabeth Schongar, Jeremy Schongar and Jesse Follett, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mildred is predeceased by her husband Byron and her four brothers, Roy Colley, Gerald Colley, Lewis Colley and Chester Colley, and her six sisters, Lois Mattoon, Dorothy Giroux, Marion Moy, Lillian Andino, Bernadette Bailey and Rose Pfaffenbach,

Funeral services will be at 9:30 am Thursday from McLoughlin &  Mason Funeral Home, 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh and 10:00 am at the Cornerstone Community Church, 115th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Regional Food Pantry, 965 Albany Shaker Road, Latham, NY 12110 in memory of Mildred.  Please visit www.mcloughlinmason.com

Millie and I worked together at Cohoes Savings Bank in Lansingburgh. She was a devoted and dedicated employee and a wonderful friend. I cherish the good memories of our times together.
