Port St. Lucie, FL- Alan Andrew Kyea, 80 of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022, comforted by his family. He was born May 6, 1942 to the late Eugene J. and Francis (Chofflet) Kyea.
In 1963, he married the late Dorothy (Beuerlein) Kyea, who passed away on November 30, 2021. Together they shared 58 happy years of marriage. To anyone who had the privilege to observe our parents’ loving relationship, it is a testament to their love that dad would join mom just nine months later. It seemed they could just not be apart and now are reunited in love for eternity.
Alan resided in Waterford until his retirement from Saint Gobain in 2008. He and his wife Dorothy, relocated to Port St. Lucie, Florida and enjoyed living in paradise. He loved spending days at the beach and going on cruises. His motto for life was eat, drink and be merry and he did it with gusto! His passion for cooking was evident in everything he dished up. He cherished spending time with friends and family. He was always cheerful, outgoing and he enjoyed meeting new friends. He often would draw neighbors together to sit around and listen to some country music, laugh, share stories and a cold beverage.
Alan is survived by his devoted children Deborah (George) Macy of Troy, Cynthia (Neil) McLaughlin of Florida, Michael (Rebecca) Wlazlo of Greenwich, and Alan (Jennifer) Kyea of Waterford; his cherished grandchildren Brian Muraski, Justin Wlazlo, Jamie (Nick) Rock, Matthew Kyea, and Morgan Kyea; his four great granddaughters Hayden, Delaney, Sage and Logan Rock; his dearest siblings, Edward (Kathleen) Kyea of Schaghticoke, Carol (Richard) Ratigan of Troy.
