Albert J. Doyle

Brunswick-Albert J. Doyle, “Big Al” 60 passed away on Tuesday July 4, 2023 at his camp in Argyle.

Born in Fort Dix, NJ, he was the son to the late Robert M. Doyle and Gladys Berry Doyle.

Albert graduated from Tamarac High School, class of 1981. He was the cemetery manager for St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy for over 27 years.

He was an active member of the Center Brunswick Fire Department, he served as Assistant Chief, Past President, he was a present Board Member and a Life Member of the fire department.

Al is survived by his son Robert “RJ” Doyle of Brunswick, his partner Jennifer Dayton Simmons and her children Bobby and Tara Simmons, his former wife Michelle Doyle and her partner Joe Scrum, his brothers Robert (Susanne) Doyle of Niskayuna and their children Ryan and Brendan Doyle and Richard Doyle of Troy, his dear and lifelong friend Jack Melsom, who was like a brother to him.

He leaves behind countless friends, who knew him and called him Uncle Al. Although he is no longer with us, he left from his favorite place- the camp at Cossayuna Lake, where he spent many of the happiest days of his life. Right now, there is probably a very long line of people waiting their turn for him to take them on a boat ride in heaven.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday July 9, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109^th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Watervliet will be private.
