Troy-Ann R. Nelson, 95 passed away on August 29, 2023 at the Eddy Memorial Center.
Born in Watervliet, she was the daughter to the late Albert and Josephine Bak and loving wife to the late Donald F. Nelson, who died in 1996.
Graduate of the Austin School of Beauty in 1956 before moving to Syracuse opening a Salon with her Brother Raymon.
She was blessed to have lived a very active lifestyle enjoying traveling to Florida in the winter with family and friends. Was a volunteer in the kitchen at St. Bonaventure Church on Bingo nights for several years.
Loved Gardening, Cooking, and Baking. Spent many years Tole painting, Quilting and Knitting. Enjoyed Golfing with her friends also. Most recently was the self-appointed “Food Critic” at the Eddy.
Ann is survived by her children Pamela Ann Hatfield (Mark) of Brunswick and David D. Nelson (Bonnie) of Johnsonville, her grandchildren Robert W. Clow III, Andrea Rose Williams (Ryan), Casey L. Nelson (Zachary), Peter Hatfield (Kyle) and Colin Hatfield, her great grandchildren, Lana Clow, Mehalia Clow, Levi Clow & Maxwell Hatfield, her brother Joseph P. Bak, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, father and husband Donald, Ann was predeceased by her siblings Raymon Bunk, Patricia Field (Fred), Theresa Wilkins (Donald).
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday September 6, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Watervliet with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating.
