Anne Marie Ferguson

Anne Marie Ferguson born on December 8, 1946 in Troy, NY, passed away December 14, 2021 at Collar City Rehabilitation, Troy, NY.

She recently celebrated her 75th birthday with friends Tom, Annie and Candy at a luncheon prepared by Chef Nick at Collar City.
She is survived by a beloved son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in Bennington, Vermont as well as her Ex-husband and dear friend, Robert Bailey of Northern Vermont. She is also survived by a brother Roland of Port Charles, Florida.
She lived in Bennington, Vermont for many years. She studied at Bennington Tutorial Center and Community College of Vermont. While there, she attended Missionary Alliance Church.
Anne Marie enjoyed crocheting and giving beautiful crocheted things to friends. She once taught a crochet class in activities at Bennington Health and Rehab. She loved giving cards that she created to friends for special occasions. She loved writing poetry and letters to friends and relatives and the occasional politician. Her other hobbies included arts and crafts of all types and word search puzzles.
After moving to Rensselaer County in New York State, she attended the Hoosick Falls Community Alliance Church. She was baptized there, and belonged to the choir and Community Bible Study. It gave her great joy to spend hours each day in the Word, copying bible verses into her notebook and memorizing them. She was a devoted prayer warrior, praying for people in need on the prayer list.
For more than 33 years, she was a Friend of Bill W, volunteering and mentoring others in need.
She leaves behind many friends, all of whom she loved dearly. Her loving company and beautiful smile will be missed.
Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Samaritan Hospital, Collar City Rehabilitation and Hospice, who gave her great care and made her final days comfortable.
A funeral service for Anne Marie will be held at Hoosick Falls Community Alliance Church, 484 Hill Rd, Hoosick Falls, NY on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 11:00 am, Viewing will be held from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at church prior to service.
Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy
