Barbara J. Robinson, age 75, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 surrounded by her family at Ocean View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Smyrna Beach.

Barbara was the daughter to the late Henry A. Delcogliano of Troy and Rita Sweeney of Coxsackie.

Born in Troy, New York, Mrs. Robinson, an administrator for Emma Willard School in Troy, moved to Florida in 1998. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in New Smyrna Beach and the Elks Club Women's Auxiliary in Troy. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mrs. Robinson enjoyed her wonderful retirement. She was an avid camper, and enjoyed having lunch with her dear friends, as well as traveling and cruising with them.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 56 years, John "Jack"; 2 daughters, Debbie (Tony) Stamper of Daytona Beach and Cindy (Steve Nielsen) Powers of Glenville; 10 grandchildren, Jackelyn, Sarah, and Nicholas Murray, all of Daytona Beach, Wade Vandiver of Rockville, Maryland, Kit Powers of Colonie, Cheryl (Tony) Caiozzo of Latham, Senior Master Sergeant Charles W. Powers III of Arlington, Virginia, Cindy (Matt) Biggerstaff of Colonie, Ryan (Tara) Nielsen of Amsterdam and Jill (Chris) Marks of Glenville; 7 great-grandsons; 2 great-granddaughters; 1 brother, Robert F. (Elizabeth) DelCogliano of Ocala, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff at Ocean View and Halifax Health Hospice.

Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh and at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 310 Spring Avenue, Troy, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Robinson's name to Alzheimer's Association, 2180 W. State Road 434, Suite 1100, Longwood, Florida 32779.
