Carol Ann Jones of Troy, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital from severe kidney failure while surrounded by loving family and close friends.

Carol was born on January 21, 1937 in North Adams, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Julia DuBois.  Carol worked for the Baby’s Room in Latham, NY, then moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1980 to continue her career in the Baby retail business.  She worked in Baby retail until her retirement in 2001 and returned to Troy NY in 2003.

Carol enjoyed her weekly Bingo sessions with family and friends, listening and collecting Elvis memorabilia and regular trips to visit family.

Carol was predeceased by her late husband Alfred C. Jones whom she married on March 30, 1968.  She is survived by her sister Geraldine Darwak of Cohoes; loving children, George Halse of Troy, Charles Halse of Minnesota, William Halse of Washington, Carolyn Guthier of Oklahoma, Betty Jane Cook of Ballston Spa, Alfred Jones of Malta, Robin Jones of Schenectady and Joseph Jones; twenty two grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home 8 – 109 St Street Troy, NY 12182 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00 am.  Interment will be at the Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation at https://www.kidney.org/support.  Please visit www.mcloughlinmason.com.
