Charles McBain

Charles Mcbain, age 79, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on April 21st, 2019 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born on June 16, 1939 Mcbain was a committed resident of Troy, NY. Charles was recognized for his 28 years of hard work and dedication to the Troy Bureau of Sanitation Services. Charles was most proud of being a loyal friend, companion, father, and grandfather. There is nothing he loved more than spending time with his family, watching the horse races in Saratoga or OTB & being a regular at his favorite place to eat, Half Moon Diner. Charles had a contagious smile and great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survived by his former wife & longtime companion Barbara Mcbain. His children Debra, Donna and Edward Mcbain. His grandchildren Shannelle, Kailene, Anthony, Amanda and Ashley, His brother Harry McBain,  He also leaves behind his beloved dog Ruby.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday April 25th, 2019 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue. Burial to follow in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy NY.
