Cornelius "Neil" Carroll, Sr.

Troy-Cornelius J. Carroll, Sr “Neil” 66, of Fifth Avenue, died March 4, 2021 at his home.

Born in Niskayuna, he was the son of the late Harold Alison Bigelow and Charlotte Newell Carroll and the husband to Melody Carroll.

Cornelius was educated in Cohoes, he served in the United States Marines. He was a truck driver for Ligon Landstar, Inc. retiring in 2015.

In addition to his wife Melody, Neil is survived by his children Valarie (Edward) Donahue, Jennifer (Todd) Philips, Cornelius (Crystal) Carroll Jr., Joanne (Will) Cheatham, David (Becky) Carroll, Crystal Rivera, Shannon Ellithorp, Margaret Thomas, Ron (Jennifer) Nichols and Susan (Donnelly) Whitehead, he is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his faithful canine companion Gubber and feline Trouble.
