David Keefer Sr

David Keefer Sr

David C. Keefer Sr., 74, of Warren Cemetery Road passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

He was born and raised in Troy; he was the son of the late Frederick Keefer and Rose Bouchard Keefer. David was predeceased by his son, David C. Keefer, Jr.

A graduate of Troy High School, class of 1959, he served in the United States Air Force. David worked for the Norton Company for 13 years, then continued his education at Albany Business College and worked and retired from New York State Teachers Retirement System as a computer programmer analyst.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, former vice president of CSEA Local 658 in Albany, a member of A.I.T.P (formerly D.P.M.A.), he especially loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed going to his grandchildren's activities and spending time with his faithful K-9 companions "Jeronimo" and the late "Buttons".

He is survived by his children, Anitajoyce Keefer (Phil Leader), William (Brooke) Keefer, Ronald (Theresa) Keefer, Brian (Andrea) Keefer, his grandchildren, Heather Pallozzi, Ashley Keefer, Ricky Pallozzi, Andrew Keefer, Jenna Keefer, Jillian Keefer, August Keefer, Charles Keefer, Jaylynne Keefer, William Keefer, Jr., Xavier Keefer, Jamie Leader, Jesse Leader, Alex VonFricken, Jenna Leader, Justin Leader, Josh Canzeri, Schyler Schewe, his great grandchildren Logan Keough and Emily Pallozzi, his special friend Donna Keefer and her children, Jean-Paul Fucci, Anna-Marie Fucci, Maegan Fucci, his brothers, Fred Keefer, John Keefer, Richard Keefer and the late Eugene Keefer, also survived by many nieces and nephews.


Funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the St. Joseph's Church 416 3rd Street, Troy. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
