Dennis Smith

Dennis Smith, 68, owner of Northeast Ceramics Supply in Troy, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Barbara Reeley. They shared 17 years of partnership and marriage together.

Born in Hoosick Falls, he was the son of Joseph Smith and Marguerite MacGregor Smith.  He graduated from Troy High School, class of 1968, he attended R.P.I.  Dennis attended the Woodstock Festival in 1969, loved the Yankees and Dallas Cowboys.  Since 1974 he owned and operated Northeast Ceramic Supply.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by his step children and thirteen grandchildren, his siblings Charmaine Kelley, Kathy (Scott) Hogan, Sharon (the late Don) Russell,  BJ (Brad) Brooks and Rick MacGregor, Dennis is also survived by his loving friends, potters and clay community to whom he devoted his life.  Predeceased by his brothers Joseph Smith and Wayne Smith.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
