Dolor J. Dupuis

Dolor J. Dupuis of Lansingburgh, NY, passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2023, after a long, full life.

Dolor was born on November 9, 1921 outside of Montreal, Canada and immigrated to Cohoes, NY with his parents, the late Alphonse Dupuis and Florida LaLonde in 1926.

Dolor served in the Army during WWII and was stationed in Alaska, Belgium, France, and Germany. He was a union carpenter for the Northeast Carpenters until he retired in 1985. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his grandchildren: Maureen A. Messier of Cohoes, Aimee L. Messier of Lansingburgh, Nicholas A. D’Agostino (Tina) of Las Vegas, NV, Peter P. Rezey Jr. (Mae) of Brunswick, NY and Vincent M. D’Agostino (Kim) of Chapin, South Carolina; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Rheal Dupuis of Latham, a sister, Lillian Sweeney of Cohoes, and nine nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife, Mary E. Dupuis (Crowley), his daughters Charlene M. Spencer and Linda A. Williams, and his son, John J. Dupuis.                                                                                                                                                                              

A celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at McLaughlin & Mason Funeral Home, 8 109th St., Troy, NY. A calling hour at 11:00am followed by a service at 12pm. Burial immediately following at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy, NY.
