Elizabeth Malthaner

Elizabeth J. Malthaner, 81, of First Avenue, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017. Elizabeth was born in Watervliet, the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Corbett) Malthaner. She attended Watervliet High School and worked for State Bank of Albany in the Financial Control Division as an Accounting Assistant.  Elizabeth enjoyed eating at Friendly’s,  playing bingo, going to the casinos, watching the New York Mets and playing bocci in a league in Cohoes, most of all she enjoyed her cat “Tiny”. She is survived by her family Elizabeth Ryan, Lynn Malthaner, Carol Smith, Robert Malthaner, John Malthaner, James Malthaner and Susan Woods. Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Malthaner, Joan Malthaner, Helen Silva, Bill Malthaner, James Malthaner and Ann Malthaner; and her aunt Olive Brockway. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Monday July 10, at St. Augustine's Church, 25 115th St., Troy. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Watervliet.
