Elliott Lawrence Price was born on Aug 16, 1957 to the late Gladys Baily Price & Willie Cook in Brooklyn, NY where he grew up in the neighborhoods of Bedstuy, Crown Heights& Red Hook Houses. He departed this life on May 3, 2018 in Albany, NY. Elliott attend the New York City Public School System for his education. Elliott met his wife & childhood "Sweetie" Cheryl on Willoughby Ave in 1972 located in Brooklyn NY. They dated until marriage on Jan 9, 1982 and to that union were 4 children. Elliott was a cool guy, the staple to his family & the Jack of All Trades. He was the cook, the cleaner, babysitter & hair braider. Something he enjoyed doing with his favorite granddaughter Aniyah. He was the disciplinarian and overall A HUGE support for his Family.
Elliott was a handy man by trade, a great carpenter, excellent painter & roofer. He could fix almost anything & most times without reading the instructions. He would be right there whenever one of his big or little kids called. Elliott made a living for himself doing independent work for people he knew. Before his passing Elliott enjoyed taking care of his family & making sure everyone was happy & fed! Everyday for the last 5 years, he would get up & make breakfast, lunch & dinner for himself & his favorite grandson Uriah. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his youngest grandkids Aniyah & Messiah whom he adored.
Elliott leave to mourn his loving Wife of 38 years, Kathleen Cheryl Price of Albany, NY. His children Nicole Price (Matthew) of Troy, NY Evelyn Wiggins (Danny) of Albany, NY Kimberly Wiggins of Albany, NY Sharod Wiggins of Brooklyn, NY Melody Wingate of Scranton, PA. Predeceased by 2 sons Elliott & Jamel Wingate. His grandkids Uriah, Omar, Ahjanay, Isiah, Aniyah, Messiah, Sharod Jr & Adney
Elliott also leaves to mourn his brothers, Walter Price & McNelton Cooper of New Orleans & Predeceased by Lloyd Price. Three sisters, Yvonne Price of Bronx, NY Betty Bowens of FL & Rona Jones of Manhattan, NY. Sister In Laws, Lanell Price & Anna Copper of New Orleans & Latanya Mason of Albany, NY. Mother In Law, Evelyn Wiggins-Mason & Father In Law Earl Mason of Brooklyn, NY. Special Mention of Predeceased Father In Law, Haywood Grant. A host of Nieces & Nephews with a special mention of Allen, Judy & Kelis Price who were his favorites.
