Latham-Estelle M. Murphy, 89, formerly of Speigletown and Troy, passed away suddenly on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at her home. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Charles Kendrick and Mabel LaPierre Kendrick.

She graduated from Catholic Central High School. Estelle worked as a payroll administrator for Swanknit Inc. in Cohoes for 35 years, retiring in 1996.

She loved reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, going to the movies, the New York Yankees and the Arizona Diamond Backs, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

Estelle is survived by her son Richard Murphy (Linda) of Rexford, her daughter Kristine Kessler (Barry) of Niskayuna, her 4 grandchildren Ryan Murphy (Jill), Brendan Murphy (Danielle), Max Kessler and Alysia Eibe, her 2 great grandchildren Hunter and Brooke Murphy and her sister Mabel Bejian. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is predeceased by her children, John Murphy and Patrice Murphy, along with her siblings Frank Kendrick, Arthur Kendrick, Clara Link, Harry Kendrick and John Kendrick.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, January 8, 2018 at St. Paul’s Church 58 3rd St, Troy, NY 12180. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy. Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday January 7, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Memorial donations in memory of Estelle may be made to a charity of your choice.
