Fitzgerald Turner, 90 passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Van Rensselaer Manor.
Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Fitzgerald was the son of the late Charles Turner and Alzadie Burrell, and loving husband of 57 years to the late Bessie Cannon Turner.
Fitzgerald liked to travel, bowling, playing cards, and he loved cars, especially his 1942 Cadillac. He also liked to cook and enjoyed watching westerns. He was a loving and devoted Family Man.
Fitzgerald is survived by his 4 children, Anna Marie Turner of Troy, Darryl J. Turner of Columbus, Ohio, Harold J. Turner (Nancy) of Troy, and Mary L. Turner (Theodore Escovrse) of Troy. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Marcus Clark (Natalie), LaTonya Alexander (Damon), Theresa Vasconcellos (Charles), Stephanie Brooks, Carina Turner, and Felicia Turner Murphy (Magen), his 11 great grandchildren, Malakai Clark, Kavon Clark, Brianie Hill, Jaiden Dudley, Sydney Dudley, Emarri Dudley, Talib Brooks, TyReeq Wilson, MarKeis Clark, Chantaneek Wilson, and DeShon Fulmore, 4 siblings, Willodell Carradine, Katie L. Watson, William (Sonny) Turner (Lillian), and Earl J. Turner (Betty).
In addition to his wife, Fitzgerald is pre-deceased by his siblings Creola Williams, Mary Alice Venson, Henry Turner, Charles Turner, Frank Turner, and Aldora Turner, and a great grandson, Anthony Clark.
Family and friends are invited and may call from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Harry D. Clark officiating.
Burial to follow at Elmwood Hill Cemetery.
