Troy- Francis “Frank” J. LaVallee, 80, passed away on January 13, 2022 with his loving wife by his side. Frank was born in Cohoes to the late John LaVallee and Marguerite Hogan LaVallee. Frank was the loving husband of Anne Marie Bellerose LaVallee.
Frank attended St. Agnes School and Keveny Academy in Cohoes. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961-1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After his time in the military, he worked as a Time Study Engineer at Bendix in Green Island, eventually retiring in 1990. After retirement, Frank kept busy working various part time jobs. Frank was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan, enjoyed traveling, cooking, going to the casino and he especially loved spending time with his family and his beloved pet cats.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Anne Marie LaVallee, his beloved children Stephen (Deborah) LaVallee of The Villages, FL, Susan (Frank) Cross of Delanson, Sharon (John) Cross of Loudonville, Scott (Tina) LaVallee of Halfmoon, Shawn (Helen) LaVallee of Myrtle Beach, Shane (Tanya) LaVallee of Rensselaer. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren Heather, Stephanie, Nicholas, Dennis, Jacob, Kevin, Jessica, Eric, Scott, Nolan, Christopher, Nathan, Alexander, Quincy and Winnie, three great grandchildren Jordan, Gehrig and Tinsley as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Frank is predeceased by his brother James LaVallee and sister Mary Belanger.
Family and friends are invited and may call from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue in Lansingburgh. Funeral mass will take place at 10 AM on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at St. Augustine’s Church, 25 115th Street, Lansingburgh. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waterford.
