George Miles

George R. Miles, 65 of Johnsonville Road, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Samaritan Hospital.
Born in Pleasantdale, he was the son of the late James Miles and Pearl Marble Miles and husband of the late Darlene Rice Miles who died in 2005.
Raised in Pleasantdale, he attended Lansingburgh High School. George worked for the City of Cohoes retiring from the Department of Public Works. He was a member of the Rensselaer Open Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include his three sons Chuck DeRepentigny (Nicole Brenenstuhl) of Cohoes, Douglas DeRepentigny of Mechanicville, Michael Miles (Michele) of Troy, eight grandchildren Sharee, Douglas, Jr., Jessica, Casey, Emily, Michaela, Jacob, Zoe, dear friend and companion Pat Okesson of Rensselaer, a brother Donald Miles of Speigletown, a sister Thelma DeTraglia formerly of Pleasantdale, former wife Shirley Bryant of Troy and several nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by his son George Miles, Jr. in 1969, two brothers Leslie Miles and Gerald Miles and a sister Barbara Linendoll.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh, with Pastor Glen Hamilton officiating.
Burial will follow at Waterford Rural Cemetery, Waterford.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
