Gladys C. Konen, 101, of Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.
Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter James H. Graham and Nellie Ashwort Graham and beloved wife to the late George Konen.
Raised and educated in Cohoes, she was a graduate of Troy Business College.
Mrs. Konen worked for the Federal Government for 37 years, retiring in 1978 from the Watervliet Arsenal.
Gladys was a member of Trinity Church in Watervliet, former member of Single Squared in Albany, Carousel's Round Dance Club, AARP and Mid Singles in Albany.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center for the wonderful and dedicated care given to Gladys over the years.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
Mass of Resurrection will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Trinity Church, 1336 First Avenue, Watervliet, with Father Martin Wendell officiating.
Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
