Gregory Clifford

Gregory P. Clifford, 31 former Troy resident, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at his residence.

Born in Troy, he was the son of Kevin P. Clifford of Troy and Dorine and Jeff Jones of Ravena and grandson of Daryl "Nanny" Freedman of Troy.

Greg was raised and educated in Troy. He was a proud United States Army OIF-OEF veteran, serving from 2002 to 2007. He had an exuberance for life, whose interest included being a private plane pilot and an aspiring chef. He was most proud of his children, who were a source of deep joy to him. Greg was very involved with the Wounded Warrior Project.

Survivors in addition to his parents and grandmother, include his beloved children Jackson Clifford-Keyser of Saratoga and Alexis Clifford of MA, three brothers Michael Clifford (Cheryl Farmer), Douglas Clifford all of Troy, Joshua Jones of Virginia, two sisters Rachel Jones (Mike Holzer) of Wappingers Falls, Katelyn Jones of Newburgh, his loving companion Sarah Keyser of Saratoga and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Greg was predeceased by his grandparents Charles E. and Vivian DePasquale Clifford and Harold D. Freedman.

Calling hours will be Friday, December 19, 2014 from 4 to 7:30 with a Funeral service to at 7:30 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.


Inurnment will be private at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
