Helen Bussey

Metuchen, NJ-Helen Marie (Conroy) Bussey, 90 formerly of Leesburg, Fl., passed away on October 17, 2021 at her home.

Born in Troy on November 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph Conroy and Mary Hiland Conroy and the beloved wife to the late Robert Macy Bussey, Sr., he died in 2011.

Helen graduated from Greenwich High school, class of 1948. She worked for New York Telephone in Albany.

Helen will be remembered as a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and friend. Her children will remember her as a stay-at-home mom who devoted her life to caring for them.

Helen is survived by her 9 children Donna M. Finnerty (Thomas), Timothy M., Bussey, Patrick M. Bussey, Diane M. Manatch (Nona), James F. Bussey, Ronald M. Bussey (Dana), Robert M. Bussey, Jr. (Maria), Mary T. Gladd (Michael) , Anne Marie Collins (Rob), her 20 grandchildren Ryan Manatch, Justin Manatch, Thomas Finnerty, Evan Finnerty, Luke Bussey, Catie Bussey, Camryn Bussey, Levi Bussey, Tara Bussey, Jena Bussey, Kali Bussey, Rayna Bussey, Logan Bussey, Adrianna Bussey, Russell Bussey, Brianna Gladd, Tyler Gladd, Daniel Keenan, Kim Eisenger, Austin Bussey, her nephew Stephen Conroy, Gerald Conroy, her niece Patty (Conroy) Sprague, who was very special to her, her 9 great grandchildren, her 10th great grandchild is due in November. She will be especially missed by her great grandchildren - The Manatch Six, Justin, Jack, Jake, Everleigh, MaKayla and Bodhi who enjoyed spending time with their great-grama.

In addition to her mother, father and husband Robert M. Bussey, Sr., she was predeceased by her brother Kenneth Conroy.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral service at 1:00 pm on Friday October 22, 2021 at McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
