Helen Vivian Hudson, age 69 passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Shirley Sleasman and a graduate of Troy High School.
Helen worked as a dental assistant and in the custodian departments of Troy, Averill Park and RPI. She was a member of the Brunswick Elks & American Legion Women's Auxiliary, The Town Clowns and Snyder’s Lake Improvement Association, where she held the position of Vice - President. Helen enjoyed puzzles, scratch off tickets and listening to her scanner. She had a heart of gold and was often the friend in need for lost souls. She gave help to all that needed it. Helen was filled with sass and wit; she was never afraid to speak her mind.
She is survived by her loving husband Norman Hudson; her beloved daughter Stephanie Pelletier (Erik); brother John Seabury (Rosemary), and sister Patricia McMahon (Ed).
Helen is pre- deceased by her granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Pelletier. Helen’s greatest joy in life was being Grandma to the two loves of her life, her grandchildren Erika & Stephen Pelletier. She would often tell them that if they ever needed anything to call 1-800-Grandma. Helen is also survived by many nephews.
