James B. Lister

West Sand Lake-James B. Lister, 72 passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Albany Medical Center from a long illness.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the son to the late James Leighton Lister and Vera Bishop Lister, and the loving husband to Elizabeth Simmons Lister.

James graduated from Asbury Park High School and R.P.I. in Troy, class of 1972. He worked as an Environment Engineer for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

He was a member of the National Orchid Society and the Porsche Club.

James is survived by wife Elizabeth, his son Chris (Hanna Cadman) Lister.

In addition to his mother and father, he was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Lister and half-brother Eric Lister.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday October 5, 2022 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home corner of 109^th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
