James Masterson

Mechanicville-James “Jimmy” Masterson, 39, of Tenandaho Lane, died Saturday, June 16th, 2018, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Jimmy was born in Schenectady, NY and grew up in Troy.  He was the son of the late James G. Masterson and Cecile Gagnon Masterson.

Jimmy graduated from Catholic Central High School, class of 1997, and went on to obtain an Associate in Science Degree from Hudson Valley Community College.  He worked for Hannaford Supermarket in Troy for 15 years between 1994 and 2009.  He also worked for Citizens Bank in Latham and Price Chopper in Mechanicville since that time. Jimmy enjoyed bowling and watching sports, especially rooting for his beloved hometown teams including the New York Rangers, Yankees, Giants and Knicks.  He also enjoyed travelling, especially to Maine.

Jimmy is survived by his brother, Michael D. Masterson (Jennifer) of Latham; his nieces, Elizabeth Grace Masterson and Emily Jeanette Masterson; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 22nd, 2018, at Living Hope Community Church, 458 Old Niskayuna Rd., Latham.  There will be no calling hours and interment will be private.
