James Plante

Troy-James Plante, 56 passed away on Sunday May 20, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital.

Born in Troy, he was the son of Raymond Plante Sr., and Anna Mae (Sage) Plante, and the loving husband to Deborah (Lloyd) Plante.

James Graduated from LaSalle Institute, class of 1979 and served in the United States Air Force from 1979 to 1981.

James was a member of the Mountain View Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, he enjoyed baseball, and he loved his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Deborah, James is survived by his son Zackary Plante of South Carolina, his two grandchildren, Issabella Jones and Josiah Plante, his brother Raymond Plante, Jr. (Kathleen) of Troy, his sister Patricia Newhouse (Robert) of Latham, and several nieces and nephews.

James is predeceased by his two children, Mary Rose Plante and James Plante, Jr., and his sister Colleen Plante.

Family and friends may call Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm with service at 12:30 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Burial with military honors will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
