Judith M. Trolio of Perkasie, PA, formerly of Troy and Fly Creek/Cooperstown, NY, died on January 30, 2016 at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA after a brief illness. She was 70 years old. She was the wife of William M. Trolio and had just celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in September.
Born Judith Mary Starr in Utica, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Starr and Julia C. (Bury) Starr.
Judy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the Utica College of Syracuse University and practiced as a registered medical technologist in hospitals in NY and PA. A music lover, Judy sang in a number of local choirs including the NYS Historical Association in Cooperstown, the Fly Creek Philharmonic in Fly Creek as well as several in PA. While with the Fly Creek Philharmonic, the entire group performed on the Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion show.
Judy always thought her children were her greatest achievement and loved them dearly. Son Matthew of Troy, is a deputy sheriff in Rensselaer County and daughter Kristen of Pawhuska, OK, is a new stay at home mom.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Matthew, daughter-in-law Laura and their three children: Drew, Colin and Liam and daughter Kristen and David Jones and their daughter, Autumn. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas B. (Mary) Starr and his family, sister-in-law, Toni (Cliff) Trolio Craft and brother-in-law David L. Trolio as well as several cousins.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Thursday, February 4th at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, 8 - 109th St., Troy.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, February 5th 2016 at the Chapel + Cultural Center at RPI, 2125 Burdett Avenue, Troy.
Interment will follow in the historic Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Judy's name to Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center, 1531 Upper Stump Road, Chalfont, PA 18914 or Grand View Health Foundation, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960 to be used for Nursing Scholarships.
