Judy Decker, 72 passed away peacefully on August 7, 2019 in her home. She was surrounded by family, and comforted by the prayers of all of those she loved.
Born in Richmond Hill and raised in New City, she was the daughter to the late James Seery and Marie Rueth Seery, and the loving wife to William Decker.
Judy worked in customer relations for The Eddy, and as an events coordinator for The American Heart Association, Proctor’s Theater, and most recently with the Ring of Hope Boxing Club.
Judy is survived by her devoted husband Bill, her children Lawrence (Lisa) Dauer, Heidi (James) Diaz, Daniel (Desiree) Dauer, Martin (Alison) Dauer, Christi (Ben) Giovannetti, daughter in law Lisa Dauer, Cherie (Bill) Plante, William (Eve Mayhew) Decker II, fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sisters Patricia (Ed) Hoenig and Maureen (Bob) Murray, her aunt Sister Jeremy Rueth, and by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited and may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday August 9, 2019 at McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Funeral mass 10 am on Saturday August 10, 2019 at Transfiguration Parish, 50 Hillview Drive, Troy, NY 12182. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in her name to the Ring of Hope Boxing Club, www.ringofhopeboxingclub.org.
