Kathryn (Kathy) H. Grandjean of Watervliet, NY passed away peacefully at her residence on August 8, 2020 at the age of 69, after a very brief fight with cancer.

Kathy is predeceased by her mother Frances E. Grandjean and father Harold Grandjean and half sister Delores C. Haas. She is survived by her daughters Loni (Charlie) LaGue of Halfmoon NY and Misty (Richard) Cipperly Gillett of Cohoes NY; grandchildren Christina (Charles) Garretto, Kayla (James) Wittmann, Joshua Hunter, Grace LaGue, Sara (Will) LaGue Ortiz and Nicholas Hunter; her beloved great grandchildren, Maverick Wittmann, Mia Konstantine Garretto and Jackson Ortiz; and her dear cat Gus. She is also survived by many cousins.

Kathy was born on December 18, 1950 in Troy NY. She graduated from Averill Park High School in 1968 and continued to further her education. She spent many years working for Highgate and Northwoods Rehabilitation Center until retirement. Kathy loved doing arts and crafts, she could be found attending many rubber stamp conventions and classes. She was an avid owl collector and had a love for Elvis. She enjoyed watching her grand and great grandchildren grow and loved showing them off to everyone. She also opened up her heart for her “adopted” grand daughter Jill Evans of Fayetteville, NC and her four children Jaydin, Ryleigh, Hannah and Tori.

Kathy’s family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at The Community Hospice for their excellent care and keeping Kathy comfortable for the last few months of her life.
