Lillian Brown

Lillian Brown, 99 passed away Thursday June 1, 2017 at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center. Lillian was born in Eagle Mills, she was the daughter of Irving and Mary Coonrad, she was the loving husband to the late Joseph Brown and together they had five children.

Lillian attended the one room school house in Eagle Mills, she worked for the old Leonard Hospital in Troy, as a switch board operator. Lillian was a parishioner of the Methodist Church of Melrose and she enjoyed helping in the kitchen during their church suppers and supporting their rummage sales. Lillian and her husband enjoyed sharing their home and gardens with their extended family.

Lillian is survived by her children Beverly Culver of West Palm Beach, FL,  Janice Barber of Salem, MA, and  J. Richard Brown of Speigletown, NY, also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by her daughters Roberta Vumbaco of Troy and Christine Kemp of Rutland, VT., her sisters Eleanor and Martha and her brother Irving.

Family and friends are invited Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
