Lillian Byrne,92, former Kane Apartment resident passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Evergreen Commons.
Lillian was born and raised in Troy; she was the daughter to the late Abraham Kaiser and Ann Riley Kaiser and wife to the late Joseph Byrne.
Lillian graduated from Lansingburgh High School, class of 1940; she studied nursing at BOCES in Troy.
Lillian worked during World War II as a machinist in the Watervliet Arsenal; she also worked as a L.P.N. at the Leonard Hospital for many years.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed fishing, tennis, golf, playing cards, and her winters in Punta Gorda, Florida and was an avid New York Yankee fan.
She is survived by her beloved children, Patrick Byrne (Marilyn) of Troy, Martin Byrne (Deborah) of Clifton Park, Richard Byrne of Albany, David Byrne (Elizabeth) of Troy, Donald Byrne (Deanna) of Chandler, AZ, her 12 cherished grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, her sister in law Sally Kaiser; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Lillian was predeceased by her 2 brothers, Alfred Kaiser, George Kaiser (Sophie) and her 2 sisters, Rita Robinson (Edward) and Mildred Schongar (Chuck).
The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers at Millview Assisted Living and Evergreen Commons for their loving and compassionate care.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am on Friday, January 9, 2015 at St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Mcloughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 4 to 7 pm.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Augustine's Church Restoration Fund 25 - 115th Street, Troy, New York 12182 in memory of Lillian Byrne.
