Troy- Linda (Lin) Delaney, 78, passed away on April 27, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a long, courageous battle against cancer. Linda was the daughter of the late Laura Veino Gowie Lansing and Gordon Lansing, and the loving wife of the late Thomas J. Delaney III.

Linda graduated from Watervliet High School, class of 1960, and Samaritan School of Nursing, class of 1963. Linda was a school nurse for Troy Schools for many years. In 2016, Linda was honored by Visions of Strength, recognizing her exemplary courage, compassion and unbreakable spirit in the face of cancer.

She regularly volunteered at the St. Mary’s Cancer Treatment Center and the Alzheimer’s Association. She was also a talented painter. Above all, Linda will be remembered for her infectious laughter, lively spirit, and love for any and all fun.

Linda is survived by her daughter Lori A. Delaney (Todd Bradley) of Wynantskill, her son Thomas M. Delaney of Troy, her grandchildren Lorin Fagan (Aaron) of Troy, Christopher Milazzo (Izabella VonFricken) of Troy, Jaimie Delaney of New York City, and her brother Russell Gowie. Lastly, she survived by her cherished dogs, Mika and Maddy, predeceased by Missy.

The family would like to specially thank Linda’s dearest friend Gretchen La Fleur for her compassion, care and friendship.

Burial services will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, in Troy, on May 8, 2021 at 10:30 am with a celebration of life to follow, family and friends are welcome.
