Lorraine Turcotte Hopko

Troy-Lorraine Turcotte Hopko, 89 passed away on January 7, 2023 at the Rosewood Rehab and Nursing. She was a longtime resident of Troy, Lorraine was born in Cohoes; she was the daughter to Narcisse Turcotte and Lillian Bariteau Turcotte, stepmother Lucille Turcotte.

She graduated from Academy of the Holy Names and the Albany Business College. She worked for many years and retired from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (R.P.I.). Lorraine enjoyed traveling, going to the casinos and spending time with family and friends, her infectious laugh is a fond memory for many.

Lorraine is survived by her children Cindy Hopko (Bern Selkis), Cathy Gray (Dave), Nancy Sams (Doug), her daughter in law Anne Hopko, her grandchildren Jodi, Matt (Jamie), Justin (Addie), Bethany, Emily, Julie, Natalie, her great grandchildren Jesse, Lucy, Casey, Tessa, her siblings Elaine Madden, Donald Turcotte, Anne Weir, Rosemary Turcotte and Daniel Turcotte, also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her mother and father she was predeceased by her son Michael Hopko, her sister Janet Morales and former husband John Hopko.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109^th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Funeral services to follow at 12:00 pm at funeral home. Burial St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
