Margaret Fleming Blake, 74 of Troy, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late James S. Fleming and Marion A. Brown Fleming and wife of Thomas P. Blake Jr. (retired TPD) of Troy.

Margaret was a graduate of Altamont Elementary, Altamont, St. Joseph's Academy, Schenectady, class of 1960 and St. Catherine's, Albany, class of 1962. She worked at Belleview Hospital then returned to St. Catherine's and worked as a pediatric technician. She has lived in Troy for the past 52 years. She was employed at the former Northeast Health, now St. Peter's Health Partners for 30 years, retiring in 2010. Margaret was a woman of faith and service and will be remembered as a gracious, thoughtful, compassionate and generous woman who treasured her family and friends, and they were a source of deep joy to her. She infused warmth, wisdom and love into every endeavor. The world is a much richer place because of her life among us. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Tom, include her three sons Thomas P. Blake III (TFD) (Lisa), James S. Blake (Michele), William J. Blake D.C. (TFD) all of Troy, four grandchildren Thomas P. Blake IV (TFD), Ashlen T. Blake, James S. Blake II, Mihaly A. Blake all of Troy.

Margaret was predeceased by a sister Mary Susan Emanuele.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
