Mary E (Mantello) Elden

Troy- Mary E. (Mantello) Elden, 97, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 5, 2022. Mary was born on February 2, 1924 in Troy, NY to the late Chester and Frances Mantello. She was the loving wife of the late Leslie E. Elden, he died in 1991.

She was a former parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Troy.

The family would like to thank all of her aides for their compassion and loving care, the staff of Community Hospice of Rensselaer County for their constant care, St. Peter’s Health partners, especially Dr. Rhonda Esposito for her attentive care, and The Eddy Alzheimer’s Services for their support during this difficult time.

Every year Mary Elden's Christmas card was the first one my Mom and Dad received. We were blessed to be raised in a big, loving Italian family. I am sorry for your loss. Donna Mantello McClure

Fran and Family, Your mom was a sweet lady, with the kindest heart for others. She always made me feel welcomed in your house. I always remember her singing, cooking and feeding one of your younger siblings. I'm sorry for the loss of your mom, she was special. May she Rest in Eternity.
