Michael E. Davis, 67 passed away suddenly on Saturday May 6, 2023 at his home in Pleasantdale.
Born in Cohoes, he was the son to the late Edward Davis and Doris Guild Davis and the loving husband to Beverly (Rogers) Davis for over 44 years.
Michael retired from Davie’s Office Refurbishing in Albany and previously worked for Garden Way in Troy.
Mike volunteered in the community as his children were growing up. He worked the Bazaar’s at St. Augustine’s School and loved coaching his children’s sports teams for Lansingburgh Little League and Little Miss Softball. Off the field he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball, soccer, basketball, and football in the most recent years.
Mike enjoyed cooking whether it be at the Bazaar’s or for his family. “Chef Mike” had the best breakfast sandwiches and would try to create any flavor pizza his family requested. He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed camping with his family. His family would joke that he is Amazon’s number one customer, if you mentioned something or there was a new gadget it would appear two days later. He was an avid sports fan. His favorites were Jimmy Johnson and NASCAR, the New York Yankees, and the Miami Dolphins.
Mike was a quiet man who gave his family and friends numerous laughs, support and a helping hand. In addition to his wife Beverly, he is survived by his children Ryan Davis (Erica) and Shauna Davis, his grandchildren Braeden Davis and Adelynn Davis, his siblings James Davis, Patricia Roane (Edward) and Susan Davis, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited and may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday May 10, 2023 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home 8 109th Street, Troy (corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue). Funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 am on Thursday May 11, 2023 at St. Augustine’s Church 25 115th Street, Troy. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
