Michael D. Gully, 51 passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Samaritan Hospital.

Michael was born in Troy to Harry J. Gully Jr and Marylyn Johnson Gully and was the loving husband to Sharon Roberts Gully.

Michael graduated from Lansingburgh High School, class of 1982 and Hudson Valley Community College with a mechanical engineering degree. He worked for Benet Laboratories at the Watervliet Arsenal for 32 years.

He was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed making fly fishing lures, bowling and playing golf, he loved Nascar, the Yankees and cooking for friends and family with his smoker and grill, he volunteered for many years with the Troy Patriots Popwarner,  most of all he loved his family and friends, he would do anything for them at any time. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his father Harry J. Gully Jr and mother Marylyn Gully of Troy, his loving wife Sharon of Waterford, he is survived by his children Michael D. Gully Jr and Sarah Gully of Waterford, his sister Mary Gully of Latham, sister in law Kathleen Gully Scott, his nephew Joshua and Seth Gully, his father in law William Roberts and mother in law Gail Roberts, his brother in laws William Roberts IV, Matthew Roberts, Aaron (Karen) Roberts, sister in law Maryanne (Eric) Cisler and his faithful k-9 companion Maggie. Michael was predeceased by his brother Mark Gully in 2004.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Monday, June 13, 2016 at St. Augustine’s Church, Lansingburgh.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 3 to 6 p.m. at McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
