Michael McCormick

Troy–Michael J. McCormick 57, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday June 12, 2019.

Born and raised in Troy, he was the son to the late Daniel McCormick and Julia Champitto McCormick and the loving husband to Karen Popson McCormick.

Michael graduated from Troy High School, he worked for over thirty years at Owens Corning in Delmar, retiring in 2017. Michael was an avid bowler, and golfer, he was a Miami Dolphins and Oakland A’s fan, he was a member of the Lansingburgh Eagles FOE # 3773 and he was an avid pool player, he loved his family and friends, especially his children and granddaughter.

In addition to his wife Karen, Michael is survived by his children Angela McCormick (Sean Allison), Jerrid McCormick, Sarah McCormick (Andrew Weloth), his granddaughter Adelia Saddlemire, his siblings Kathy Durivage (Ken Bubeck), Laura Bellerose (Bob), Sharon McCormick and Daniel McCormick, his sister in laws Debbie McCormick and Susie Liberto (Roger), his brother in laws Brian Popson (Patti) and Jim Guthrie, his nieces and nephews Jessica, Mickey, Jim III, Elizabeth, Dino, Christopher, Jonathan, Nathan, Michael and Emily, his great nieces and nephews, also survived by his faithful canine companion “Freda Puddin” and his feline companion “G-Face”. In addition to mother and father, Michael was predeceased by his mother in law Joyce Popson.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, 8 109th Street, Troy, New York 12182.
