Troy Michele A. (Riley) Gowie, 53, passed away on Saturday July 15, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter to Joseph Riley and Karen De Fey Riley and the loving wife to Steven S. Gowie, Sr.
Michele graduated from Lansingburgh High School, class of 1989. She was a Social Welfare Examiner for Rensselaer County Department of Social Services.
Michele loved Schroon Lake, shopping, Girls Weekend, going on cruises, most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her sister Kelli, a bond that can never be broken.
In addition to her husband Steven and mother Karen and father Joseph, Michele is survived by her sons Steven S. Gowie, Jr and Mason (Jillian Stevens) Gowie, her grandchildren Mikenzie, Wyatt, Remi and Tanner, her siblings Shawn (Dawn) Riley, Joseph Riley, Kelli Riley and Daniel (Catina) Riley, also survived by her goddaughter Kalissa and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday July 17, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial to follow Oakwood Cemetery.
