Mildred Rapello

Mildred Rapello, 59 passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at home in her sleep peacefully next to her loving husband of 30 years Kenneth Rapello after a long battle with COPD.

Born in Albany, She was the daughter of the late Richard Holcomb and Minnie Love (Cannon). Mildred graduated from Hudson Valley Community College with a degree at the age of 33 and was a homemaker most of her life.

Mildred was the loving mother of Daniel Lamont LaRose and Debra Lynn LaRose. Grandmother to Leah Evans, Ricky Evans, Amanda Salewsky, and Ava Lyons. Also survived by 8 brothers and sisters Barbara Holcomb, Robert Holcomb, Christine Shea, William Holcomb, Veronica Holcomb, Jacqueline Holcomb, Reginald Holcomb, and Michael Holcomb along with many nieces and nephews.

Mildred is predeceased by her brothers and sisters Rebel Cannon, Joy Wade, Yankee Holcomb, Linda Weiler, Diane Dominy, Kenneth Holcomb, Helen Holcomb, and Butch Holcomb.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Troy. A prayer service will follow calling hours at 5:00 pm at funeral home.
