Nancy A Dormady, 79, of Eastover Road in Speigletown, died peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Carpenter.
Growing up in Troy and Lansingburgh, she attended St. Augustine’s School and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1954. In the early 1960s, she moved to Speigletown to raise her family.
Early in her career, she was employed by Cluett Peabody & Company and later in life she was employed by the Leonard Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel (Melanie) Dormady of Baton Rouge, LA, Donald Dormady of Baton Rouge, LA; six grandchildren, Jason (Camille), Danielle, Bryan, Heather, Jordan and Skyler Dormady; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Thomas M. Dormady.
Friends and family are invited and may call on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am with prayer service to follow at 10:45 am at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home at the corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy.
