Nancy Jean Montello Perrotti, 66, died peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2015 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Montello and Patricia Peters Montello and beloved wife of James "Mike" Perrotti, of Malta. They were married on August 13, 1967.
Raised and educated in Troy, she was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1967. Nancy worked in the banking industry for 30 years as part of her local community banking network. Nancy lived in Troy until 1992 when she moved to Atlanta to follow her husband's advancement in his career. In 2004, after retirement, they moved to Ohio to be with two of their sons. In 2013, Nancy and Mike moved back to Malta to be closer to family and to share the joy of seeing her grandson grow into the young man he is today. Nancy's passion was visiting the Casinos along the path that she traveled, along with being in the warm weather, especially in Mexico. Nothing made Nancy happier than spending time with her children. She loved each one of them in a very special way, and offered unconditional love to each of them. Her wishes were to see each of them continue to live with the values that she and Mike raised them with and to never take for granted the joy of life and to tackle every one of life's struggles with dignity and elegance. Nancy had such an amazing, unconditional love for Mike and up until her last day, held his hand and showed her love and passion for him every day. There are no words to express Nancy's love and dedication to her family and friends. Nancy will be truly missed and has touched the lives of so many and has left a lifelong impression on everyone she met.
Special thanks to the loving staff at Saratoga Hospital, the staff at Dr. Jenny Romero's office and Community Hospice for their amazing care and support.
