Patricia A. King Derenzo, 75 passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was the daughter to the late Joseph King and Monica Powers King and loving wife of 53 years to Peter Derenzo.
She was born and raised in Troy and graduated from Troy High School, class of 1958.
Patricia was a kind and loving wife and mother. Patricia's greatest joy was her family. Attending church, going out to dinner and listening to music were the simple things in life she truly took pleasure in. Trips to Cape Cod were very special memories for her and her husband. Spending time with her daughters and their families was very important to her; she found great joy in attending her grandchildren's school events and games.
In addition to her loving husband Peter, she is survived by her 3 beloved daughters, Jacqueline Ritrovato (Jeffrey) of Brunswick, Ann Marsh (Christopher) of Wynantskill, Nicolle Motzer (Joseph) of Brunswick, her cherished 8 grandchildren Kyle Ritrovato, Matthew Marsh, Amy Ritrovato, Brian Marsh, Joseph Motzer, Airman Daniel Motzer, Jessica Marsh, Allison Motzer, her brother Joseph King (Beth) of Brunswick, her sister Sharon Ruddy (Paul) of Brunswick, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Patricia was predeceased by two sisters Kathleen Talarico and Joyce Morris.
Funeral services will be held 8:45 am on Monday August 24, 2015 from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh and at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 North Lake Avenue, Troy where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Troy.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Patricia's husband and daughters would like to thank the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Courtyard staff for all of their compassion and care. They would also like to thank the many people throughout her lifetime that showed kindness to her especially as she fought this courageous battle.
