TROY - Peter L. Danbury, 60, a former longtime resident of Grafton, died Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Van Rensselaer Manor following a brief illness.
Born in Lansingburgh, he was the beloved son to the late George Danbury and Barbara Smith Danbury.
In his early years, Peter attended school in Wilton and enjoyed summers at his family’s camp on Loon Lake. After graduating from school and moving to Grafton he enjoyed trips with his parents and walking the Grafton State Park with his father and family dogs. Never one to miss out on an adventure he enjoyed many with his nieces and nephew; whether it was swimming in the pool, playing baseball, or a water gun fight he was always an essential part of the gang.
He is survived by his brother Chris Danbury (Jane), his sisters Barbara Munsey (David) and Bernice Danbury, his nieces Kristin Liebener (Philip Jr.) and Katie Dergosits (Emery Jr.), his great niece Elise Dergosits, nephews Nehill Danbury, and Michael and Matthew Munsey, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins
After the passing of his parents Peter enjoyed his later years living with Chris and Jane. Every morning he would go to work with Chris at Danbury Excavating as a “Supervisor”. He loved meeting new people with a big smile and a handshake. On the weekends he loved to go to his camp on Paradox Lake with Bernice to relax and swim.
