Peter Raymond Paffen, Jr

Stillwater-Peter Raymond Paffen, Jr., 74 passed away peacefully on Thursday October 13, 2022 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born in Laconia, New Hampshire, he was the son to the late Peter Raymond Paffen, Sr and Kathleen Niles McCormick.

Peter also known as Ray, graduated from Stillwater High School, class of 1966 and graduated from Hudson Valley Community College with a Civil Engineering Degree. For many years, he worked for Tagsons Paper, Inc (now Cascade Paper) in Mechanicville as an Operation Manager.

Peter enjoyed fishing, boating and bowling; he was a skilled carpenter.

He is survived by his children Shannon Lee of Voorheesville and Scott (Amber) Paffen of Stillwater, his grandchildren Tyler Paffen, Colby Paffen and Gracie Lee, his brothers Tommy Paffen and Karl Paffen, and his longtime companion Maxine McCadden.

In addition to his mother and father, he was predeceased by his sister, Diane Sgambati.

Funeral services will be private.
